DME Management School places a strong emphasis on continuous research and development. Research in business and management is crucial as it helps in comprehending and critically analyzing the contemporary developments in the area. We focus on blended teaching-learning methods that encompass research in various areas of management like finance, accounting, human resource, marketing, entrepreneurship, sustainable business development, etc. Faculty members and students work collaboratively on research projects and organize research day activities in form of workshops, competitions, seminars, etc. The two research centres at DME Management School, i.e. Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development (CSD) and Centre for Management Research (CMR) have been actively engaged in research and publication initiatives. DME Journal of Management, a peer reviewed and interdisciplinary academic annual journal also promotes individual and collaborative research on contemporary management practices and paradigms.

CMR_One Day workshop on SPSS

 Centre for Management Research in collaboration with DME Management School organized a One Day Workshop on SPSS, virtually on 6th April, 2021. The resource person for the session was Dr. Shuchi Goel, Assistant Professor, DME Management School. She took a very insightful session highlighting the relevance of the software SPSS in research analysis and reporting. She explained to the students about the various tests which can be used for the purpose of analysis depending upon the nature of variables. It was a highly interactive session, where Dr. Goel, after every demonstration, provided students the time to perform the tests on their computers and clarified doubts one on one. It was a really intriguing and knowledge enhancing session.

  • CMR-Workshop on How to publish in Scopus indexed and ABDC Journals

 Centre for Management Research (CMR) at DME Management School organized a one day virtual workshop on “How to publish in Scopus indexed and ABDC Journals” on October 2, The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Associate Professor, Pearl Academy. The workshop received an overwhelming response and was attended by 121 participants, consisting of faculty members and research scholars from reputed universities across the length and breadth of India. Dr.Kaur gave an insightful presentation on ‘How to write a Research paper’ with dedicated discussion on different sections like introduction, abstract, title, review of literature, conceptual framework, conclusion, discussion and references. She gave relevant examples and shared her experience of her journey as a researcher. An interim round of questions and answers was held wherein Dr.Kaur patiently and enthusiastically answered all the queries of the participants.

 

  • CMR-Workshop on Usage of Google Forms

Center for Management Research at DME Management school organized an e-workshop on “Creating and Using Google Forms for Conducting Research Work” on 25th August 2020 where in more than 90 students participated.It was an amazing opportunity for students as well as faculty members to learn something new and interesting amidst the crisis. To enlighten the audience with his esteemed knowledge and expertise we had Mr. Parth Shukla, Co-Founder of Knowledge Pro and a certified Microsoft Trainer as the keynote speaker and trainer for the session. Key highlights of the session were taking surveys, creating questionnaires and quizzes with the help of Google forms. Mr. Shukla grabbed the attention of the audience by giving live demonstration on How to use different features of the Google forms.

DME Journal of Management

DME Journal of Management is a peer-reviewed and interdisciplinary academic annual journal. The objective of the journal is to promote individual and collaborative research on contemporary management practices and paradigms. The journal will invite papers on diverse areas such as finance, accounting, marketing, operations management, human resource management, statistics, international business, information technology, environment, risk management, globalization, and related areas. This book is an output of the research work done under the tutelage of ‘Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development ‘at the DME Management School. This stream of work is a maiden attempt by the faculty members teaching a spectrum of functional areas and with a broad range of academic background, training and teaching experience.  The function-wise handling and then the amalgamation of these functional aspects of sustainability is the hallmark of this book.

The book chapters present the thus far much debated issue of ‘sustainable development’ in a hitherto unexplored manner. The approach adopted by the authors is unique firstly because it a multi-functional contribution towards sustainable development in the functional areas belonging to General Management, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing & Operations Management. Secondly, the clichéd critical stance against sustainability, particularly in the context of India, has not been unnecessarily over emphasized. Rather, contours of this text have focused on the varied aspects of sustainable development and the solution of the problem of “non-sustainable economic development”.  Thirdly, the focus has been to shed away the “Impossible” attitude about sustainability and considering the avenues of how sustainability can be made a reality.  Fourthly, the application aspect has been emphasized by the authors across all the functional areas of management.   

The chapters of this book are woven around these seventeen Sustainable Development Goals with a view to providing solutions in each of the functional areas of management. From the perspective of the management thinkers, all problems on this earth can be solved through better management.
